Bamboo Reinforced Wood (BRW) & Bamboo Reinforced Plywood (BRP)
 
BRP & BRW is an innovative plywood product developed by PT Nusa Galih Nusantara. The raw material is based on bamboo, soft wood and special glue. The products act as problem solving due to high demand of structural timber products.
Currently, the raw material for wood products is fulfilled by cutting natural forests. The BRP & BRW Products and Technology has been patented in Canberra Australia.
Environmental Aspect
Bamboo is a fast growing plant, with its harvest cycle range 2 – 3 year. Each cycle of bamboo plantation can produce 200 m3 of bamboo products per ha; or equal to 400 m3 of log wood. Hence, bamboo plantation can reduce the number of cutting natural forests.
